Low sat score

I took SAT in October
MATH720
CR370
WRITING430

which the english part is freaking terrible

and my Nov score comes out

Math 800
CR 600
writing 750
which is much better
however UC requires all score
does the October score hurts my apps so much?

wow awesome job! howd u improve on math and CR? please tell me should i just keep doing practice tests?
i have till dec 3rd to get rdy for my final SAt… im studying 12 hrs a day

@ nathangan I guess the improvement you showed is really significant. Even if UC requires all the scores, I think the inflation in your scores are going to freak them out. I’m preparing to reappear for the SAT this December and I am not sure I can even go from 590 to 650 in critical reading.

I guess your SAT I scores seem quite bleak in comparison with your improvement. So, I don’t think your chances of admission would be affected too much

WOW that is some AMAZING improvement. Is english your first language?

holy crap, a 430 point improvement in one month? well done

I’m a little surprised collegeboard didn’t flag your scores though lol

UC schools require you to send in all of your scores?! Oh wow. Are you serious? I got a 1750 on the Nov SAT and I’m pretty frustrated now…

Thank you all of you
now I have confident again because I have been worried about that for many days!
English is not my first language
I am a Chinese actually
I am strong in math and I got all science and math SAT subject tests full
however English is my weakest part since I am not a local students
I know vocabulary is really important to succeed in CR
so I just memorize about 30 words per day (I really do so everyday and keep revising the words I have memorized)
and do 2-3 three SAT tests everyday ( only reading and writing parts)
I am using princeton review and personally I think it is a good prep. book

Just judging by the way you write, I am very surprised that you were able to get a 750 W. o_O Congrats on the increase nonetheless!

I know someone who “improved” by half that amount and was suspected of cheating.

how to cheat in writing and CR which has no standard syllabus…

agree with gordon gekko here… because >200 in improvement in CR or Math especially in one month …usually collegeboard gonna delay the result for another 7 to 10 days after the regular results came out for “the investigation” (i know some people experienced this)
