I have been told by many that the mere fact I am Hispanic leaves me at a great advantage. Is this true?

Possible Schools:
Harvard
MIT
Columbia
Cornell
UPenn
Emory
UF
Georgetown
Duke

Thank you!

Your SAT scores aren't that bad; also, being hispanic helps. Great chances everywhere...

hahaha you call those scores low???

I'm not sure how big of a deal the Florida Soccer team is, but if it's an all state team or something you might want to contact coaches of their soccer teams. With all your other stats, a coach wanting you could put you over the edge at the ivies.

In general, all of the Ivies are possibilities for you. You've clearly demonstrated that you're one of the most academically capable people in your area, plus you've got URM status. That with decent everything else would probably get you into at least one Ivy. But on top of that, you have some excellent ECs and great community service. That makes even Harvard a possibility for you. I would be very surprised if you didn't get into at least one Ivy, and probably a couple.

Georgetown is a definite match, I bet UF is a safety (not sure). I'm pretty sure Emory is an interest-sensitive school, especially since you're obviously qualified for ivys, so if you're really interested, make sure to show it. Duke will probably accept you, I think. MIT will probably the hardest of all these schools to get into because your passion for math\science isn't immediately apparent. Still a decent chance there nonetheless.

Advice
-You've obviously got a bunch of teachers who respect you and value your work in class. I'd just encourage you to make sure you get a teacher who will say something beyond how good of a student you are, because that's obvious on paper. Your recs will work more for you if they are about how you participate in class, your work ethic, your personality, etc. You don't need a rec that will just say you're a good student, because that's already apparent.

Congratulations on your excellent work in high school (and on making my app look rather crappy by comparison) and best of luck!

Titan124, I'm planning on emailing all the respective soccer coaches this summer after I receive my SAT scores. Thank you nonetheless.

And yeah, UF is definitely a safety school haha. But thanks a lot for your advice silverchris.

I am pretty sure there was another hispanic member, on cc, who was accepted at Stanford and he only scored around 1900 on his sats.... It seems that many top colleges tend to look past lower sat scores when it comes to URMs..
