I know my SAT score is crappy, but do you all think that my ECs and gpa could keep me in the running for admission?

You’re SAT isn’t crappy. It falls in the range of most of those schools (although on the low end for a few), so you’ve got a good shot at most. Write good essays and with some great recs, you definitely have a chance.

You’re SAT I is fine. You can retake it if you want, it never hurts. However, with your other tests scores, GPA, and ECs, which are pretty darn good, you have a chance at all of them. It may be worth while to apply to a couple ivies. You’re in range and you never know what will happen, what does it hurt?

Only on CC is a 2100 a “low” score. LOL.

Your SAT isn’t terrible. I got a 1900 on mine and failed to break 600 on the reading, that’s terrible.

Hahaha yeah maybe I was a little melodramatic with the title, but a 2100 (while good for a lot of good colleges) is relatively low for schools like georgetown, JHU, and duke that I want to apply to.

Thanks for all the feed back everyone!

Bump, any new opinions?

Hey kgolfing! Thanks for the feedback! I’m honestly expecting a flat rejection from duke, maybe I’ll be lucky to pull into mich ross early assurance. Still not too confident about UVA, I think out of state is pretty tough to get into.

Any other thoughts?

bump 10char

Are you a senior? Because National Merit Semifinalists have already been announced…

Hey Dev, I posted this back in august before results came out. I was made a national merit semi finalist!!! I wish PSATs mattered more though hahaha that would save me a lot of worrying. Do you have an opinion on my chances at any of these schools?

BUMP! 10char

Hey OP, hope your’re still active. My stats are somewhat similar to yours, as are my aspirations. Do you mind telling me what your feedback from UC Berkeley, Johns Hopkins, Northwestern, and U Mich were? Thanks, appreciate it! I’m a junior who has just started the college hunting process
