Do you know of anyone who has gotten in to an ivy league with an 1800-1900 score on the SAT?

i know a kid who got into harvard last year with a 1790 SAT score but he was Division I athlete so thats probably why.

Of course there are people there with scores in that range - I personally know three, and I have a friend with a score in the 1600s. The SAT score alone is not enough to ruin your chances.

You can always retake it or take the ACT

I’m not expert but I do believe that humans are so much more than a score and that admissions representatives must know this. However, if it is within your ability - time and energy - use the test-taking preparation to improve your skills. That effort to master the material in math, english and writing can’t hurt, as long as the effort is not at the expense of more important considerations.

Ya that’s why a personal statement can save the day!
