low sats, pretty good grades... chance me?

<p>uconn!.. applying undecided (liberal arts, easiest to get into)</p>

<p>lets start off by saying i go to pretty competitive high school, D1 athletics, pretty big in size, etc... </p>

<ul>
<li>3.33 gpa</li>
<li>146/373 class rank</li>
<li>1510 sats</li>
</ul>

<p>550 math
460 reading ..
500 writing</p>

<ul>
<li>ct resident, attend high school in ct</li>
<li>varsity ice hockey</li>
<li>jv lacrosse</li>
<li>tons of e.c's- community service, all that non sense</li>
<li>advanced in all areas of capt (yet I suck at sats...)</li>
<li>im 50% white, 50% puerto rican*</li>
<li>1st generation college student</li>
<li>didnt really challenge myself, most level 3 (college prep) classes .. except for history freshman year (honors) and this year, senior, im taking level 4 (honor) calculus</li>
<li>All A's and B's on my transcript</li>
<li>have a seriously unique talent, written about in essay and in my two teacher letters of recommendation.. (extremely unique, would rather not share, its a dead give-a-way who I am if I do)</li>
</ul>

<p>*- will this help me get into uconn? they have a very low % of hispanics.</p>

<p>ouch sorry but your scores are way too low. Race plays a very little decision too, like if your border line. Id say this is a reach, but good luck, prove me wrong! :)</p>

<p>I think you have a chance! and don’t worry my SAT scores are low too. Just make the best out pf your essay</p>

<p>its definitely a reach for you, because your gpa is pretty low for taking no APs and only two honors, colleges care about the rigor of your courses. Also I think your Sat in itself may keep you out of the running but you never really know goodluck! Where else are you applying?</p>

<p>Anything is possible, apply and see what happens. Make the best out of your essay</p>
