i had a 1710. I got in, tho for spring.

There have been some threads in the past about this- try the search function- good luck!

Spring admit here too with a 1710. 1680 highest in one sitting. Ya, there's hope....

I had 1970 but i was a fall admit. How low are you talking about by the way?

No offence guys, but how did you get in with those scores? I got a 2170 and I wasn't sure it was good enough. I have friends who got around 2050 and didn't get in.

I think USC takes more into consideration than test scores, especially if your grades prove that your scores may not provide the most complete assessment of your abilities. For example, a person who has always had straight A's in math and got a low math SAT score is probably given the benefit of the doubt. Other things account for low scores, such as pressure, nerves, external interruptions. etc. In short, my bet is that USC looks at the whole picture.

Truly. People have to realize that a single statistic is neither a lock for acceptance nor doom and gloom. Let's face it... would you really say that the SAT is a measure of scholastic aptitude? The reality is that SAT scores are obviously considered for admission, but the further reality is that it is not necessarily the deciding factor. I have a friend who broke 2300 two years ago, but he didn't get accepted into Berkeley or UCLA. He acknowledged that while he was satisfied with his SAT score, he knew that he lacked in other categories/factors. USC does look at the "whole picture."

I forgot to add that my SAT score (2000) was below the averages of USC and UCLA, and I got into both. Just continue to excel in the stuff that matters!

I lived 35 miles away from the nearest SAT, so I only took it once winter of senior year. Studied for it like I did the ACT, and that backfired and I only got a 1960. I did get a 33 on the ACT though. I'm bringing down the SAT average, but bringing up the ACT average. It evens out.
