low SATs?

Does anyone know if USC ever accepts low SAT scores? (like in the 1800's)

Post #3 has a link to past Official Decisions so you can check on admitted stats reported here on CC from last year.

alright, thanks cc!

Hopefully they do. xD

my friend was accepted saturday with an sat score between 1800-1900

I just found out that another person got in on saturday with between a 1680-1720...but she has a SOB story

I believe Mr Tubbz has similar SAT and high GPA. He was offered Trustee/Presidential interview.

It really depends on ur EC and everything else..
i was notified that i got in at the end of Jan. (SAT:1800) and actually recieved the Presidential scholarship!

good luck!

i got in with an 1810

higher SAT scores and lower GPA seem to be easier to get in but harder to get scholarship

yes it happens probably more often than you imagine. sc looks at the total package that you present. as you may have read, my daughter is a spring admit...with a 1750.

It's funny, because around an 1800 is generally considered a good, solid score. But USC is uber-competitive, so to them it's low.

I never thought 1800s was a good score for the SAT. That's why I was so disappointed witht my 1850.

If you're applying to the most competitive schools in the country, then yes it is a "bad" score. But in the scheme of things, it's not a big deal. I know kids who have basically failed the SAT.

I know a guy that couldn't get over a 1000 on the new SAT. =/ That's pretty sad. That's not even average. xD
