I've been preparing for these tests for a few weeks now and still have a bit of time left till I take it in October. I've been getting low scores in Math 2 tests (650-ish) and Chem tests(fluctuates alot; 650,730,650,680) despite being a very good student and good at standardized tests in general (2000+ SAT). I've been using Barrons for Math and Kaplan for Chem. I know people say Barrons is hard but I highly doubt there's a difference of greater than 50 points compared to the actual tests. I'm aiming for 750+ in both so any advice from people who've taken them would be welcome.

Bump

I took both Math 2 and Chem in June. I used Barron’s for Math which is significantly harder. I was scoring 700 ± 30or so depending on the day and I ended up getting an 800 on the test. I took Precalc prior to the test and I pretty much knew all the concepts due to knowledge i had obtained in school.

For chem, I used barron’s at first which was very hard so thn i got a kaplan’s book. i took the practice and got 750ish which i think is a pretty accurate indication of what you can get on the actual test as the level of the problems was similar. on the actual test i got an 800, but i think that was due in large to the tough ap chem teacher i had last year who really made sure we understood the basic concepts for each topic.

Thanks
