Low scores? SAT IIs?

Well, I have been lurking around here for a while. I took the ACT after speaking Spanish for a year in September and scored a 21. I was shocked to realize how bad my score was and how much that I forgot while being abroad in Chile for a year.

Anyways, received my score today and got a composite of 24.

English 22
Math 21
Reading 30
Science 24
Composite: 24

I plan on retaking it in December and I hope to score between a 26-28 which I feel could be possible if I raise my score in Science and English. Math is a lost cause!

I know that Tufts has an average ACT score of a 28-32 - does anyone know the break down of accepted students? Odd question, I know. I was just wondering with such a horrible test score, should I even apply? My high school GPA is high 3.60 (96.0%) and I am ranked 30/520. Which is top 10%.

Bad test scores. Now what? Should I try for the ED pool, or is it nearly impossible?

Also, for those who know about the SAT II tests. I signed up for the Spanish one and plan on scoring between a 740-800 on it. I have done practice tests and am confident I will be in the mid to high 700 range.

I also signed up for US History and World History; which I have not taken in years. Do we have the option of which to send in? Or do they all go in together?

How many does Tufts require? If I took the ACT w/ writing - do I even need to submit SAT IIs?

Ahh hopefully I didn't confuse anyone.

Get the ACT book from the website where you register. Read the reading, science, and math chapters. Take the practice tests for these subjects, and correct them yourself. See what mistakes you made.

I know someone who went from a 26 in science to a 35, simply by reading the science chapter and taking the practice test THE NIGHT BEFORE the test. Obviously it would be better to start earlier.

If you take the ACT, you don't need the SAT IIs for Tufts, but I think your score, as is, will be a problem.
