I plan to apply to a couple UCs, such as Santa Barbara and Berkeley (dream school). I feel qualified in that I have a 4.3 GPA from taking three AP classes my junior year and three this year, and I am very involved in my community, as I play three sports, am on a soccer youth board, am in two clubs, and play in the school’s band. My only problem is that my SAT score is 1290 and my ACT 27. I do need to take both again, but what if I do no improve much? Will I still be eligible for UCs?
UC’s do not include Senior grades in their GPA calculation only 10-11th so you need to calculate your capped weighted and fully weighted GPA. https://rogerhub.com/gpa-calculator-uc/
Although GPA is important, so are your test scores, essays, EC’s and intended major which will all contribute to your chances.
