Just out of curiosity, does anybody know what the lower end of the spectrum of in state people getting into UVA is? Like GPA, SAT, etc...I guess Id like to know for white people.

Same for William and Mary.

Anybody? : (

no one can answer this because anyone who applies "has a chance." but you should realize that if there are kids in your high school in previous years who have had better stats than you not get in, then you most likely have as little or less of a chance getting in.

remember, at uva this year, 25% of the entering class had less than 1280 on their SATs. the "average gpa" is usually like 4.1 weighted, so plenty of people have below that.

I see. Well I have a 1360 SAT and 3.95 GPA. Last year my friend(who's cuban) was weightlisted and he had a 3.7 gpa and 12xx SAT.

Two years ago my niece got in with SATs in the 1100s, but she was a top-ranked student at her HS. So it all depends.

sigma,

with a 1360 and a 3.95 and instate - i don't see why you are worried?

I second Jags, don't worry too much. Good Luck :)

I dunno, Ive just grown up with the notion UVA is elite and only takes top top people. If I saw people with 3.8s getting in Id feel better.
