Low Subject Test Scores

Hey guys

I took two Subject tests in June and got 660's on both of them. I'm planning on taking them again in November, but I'm wondering how much of an affect this will have on my admissions. My superscore on the SAT is a 2110 and my weighted GPA is about a 4.4 and my UW is a 3.83. I'm looking at schools such as UCLA, CMC, USC etc.

An impact at UCLA but it considers highest two SAT II scores and thus retake and higher scores will help. Neither CMC nor USC require IIs but they recommend them. Scores are not that bad for either but higher scores will help.

Despite popular belief, subject tests are just as important for admission as regular reasoning tests. However, if a school says they're optional (which I think they are at the UCs), then a mediocre score here and there won't be such a big deal. But don't be fooled that subject tests are unimportant because they have quite a bit of weight in the admissions process.

what's considered a mediocre score? 600's or low 700's?

As to comment above, SAT IIs are not optional with the UCs, two are required. For UCs anything in the 700s is considered good. In fact, for those other than UCLA and Berkeley, the 600s are pretty good.
