<p>Students with sub-par TOEFL results have more options than ever before when it comes to gaining "conditional admission" to some US colleges and universities.</p>

<p>The new conditional admission programs don't necessarily require international students with below-minimum TOEFL results to take ONLY remedial English classes before being able to elect a wider range of courses.</p>
<p>However, the US Department of Homeland Security is watching some such programs with suspicion. So all of the conditional-admission windows that are open to international students now may not be open down the road.</p>
