Low Writing MC, good for others

Hey everyone.

I'm just wondering whether a low writing multiple choice(58/80 :|) can make a large difference in college apps for selective schools. I know that SATs are only a small part and the college essays are just as important, but would any of those really selective universities deny me just based on the MC Writing or make it much more difficult to get accepted? I know that my other parts were good, but I'm just wondering about the Writing MC.

My SAT was a 2240.
Math:800
Critical Reading:780
Writing:660
Multiple Choice:58
Essay:12

They just care about the total writing score.

My suggestion, however, is to practice the writing section and re-take. It’s the easiest section to get better at with practice, and based on your other scores, you should be scoring in the 70-80 range. With a 11-12 essay, you can still miss a few and get an 800, and then your total score will be much more impressive.

It’s sort of late to take another SAT, but I also sent my ACT, which was a 34 composite with 31 in English and 11 on the essay. Would that balance it out?
