Lower chance if I apply FA for ED??

I've just read a thread that says i shouldn't apply FA for Early..
But i guess because Cornell is need-blind this ^statement doesn't (or might not) apply...??

What's the answer???

I'm Canadian and thought everything would be alright until i read this thread....

Did anyone apply for FA?

Cornell University is need-blind for residents of North America, including Canadians and Mexicans. I am a Canadian and I am not worried, so you shouldn't too.

Do you need FA? If not, then it is silly to check off the FA box because FA is not a lottery, it is need based. If you need FA, then you couldn't afford to go to Cornell without FA anyway. What some people are saying (and it's probably true) is your FA may not be as attractive if you were applying ED, therefore if you need FA you probably shouldn't apply ED.

I do not believe there is ever need-blind, it is always need-aware, especially in today's environment. If you do not need FA, you do have advantage over people that need FA, unless you have a special hook.

don't worry. its not going to affect your chance

finAID will not be attractive in terms of ED unless you fall within the income brackets for the no-loans policy...
