Lower Division Courses?

On the assist.org printout I have it says that it's not required that I finish all of the "lower division courses" before attending the school (UCR). With a REALLY full load of school work over the next 3 semesters, I'll still be missing 3 of those courses. I will have completed IGETC, and will have TAGged UCR. My GPA will be around a 3.0+

Does anyone know if missing those 3 classes will prevent me from being accepted? Also, is assist reliable when it comes to notifying us of which classes we need to transfer.

I'm making a trip out to UCR next weekend to take a tour, and I'm going to make it a point to talk to a counselor at UCR just to be safe.

Thanks for the input in advance!

If they are not required for admission to your major at UCR, you can be admitted, but then you will have to take them after you transfer at UCR.

The more lower division courses you can complete before transfer, the more flexible your schedule will be after transfer. Also, if class size matters to you, the lower division classes at your CC are likely to be smaller than those at UCR.

If they approved your TAG then you will be fine. TAG is an agreement; if you take the courses specified in the contract and get the GPA required in the contract, you are promised acceptance.
