<p>So you haven’t even started yet and you already know you don’t want to be there…? If there was just some situation where you couldn’t go straight into another university then I understand, it happens to a lot of us. </p>
<p>The best thing you can do is narrow down the list of universities that you want to go to, take classes that will transfer to those universities, and keep good grades. I didn’t know where I wanted to transfer at first, so I ended up taking classes that didn’t really matter much my first and second semester, and in-between my second semester I decided I wanted to go to USC. That messed me up from being able to transfer after one year, so now I am taking the other recommended courses to transfer next fall. Since you are just starting then you can try to find out where you want to go, and take classes that are important for transferring to those places. Psychology shouldn’t be as hard to transfer though, so you should be okay if you try. </p>
