<p>I was wondering if anybody know about lower division transfer for UC's? I spoke with a representative at UCLA today but they told me that there's no such thing as lower division transfer. And in order for me to be considered, I have to complete 60 semester units of transferrable work. I read on the UC transfer website that you are eligible for lower division transfer if you meet the requirements when you were in high school. I met the 15 course requirement, SAT II's and SAT I along with a 3.0+ GPA during high school. So in theory, I should be eligible for lower division transfer. I told her this and she told me that if I take more than 9 semester units of transferrable coursework, UCLA would send back my application and tell me to apply as a transfer student in the junior level. She seemed very mean and irritated that I keep asking these questions, so I gave up. But I remember reading some STATS here on the forum and saw that there were quite a few people who didn't have 60 units of transferrable coursework and was STILL granted admission to UCB, UCLA, etc. I plan to major in poli sci and I should be able to finish the IGETC and my pre-major requirements by the end of spring semester, a total of about 48 units. </p>
<p>is there REALLY no way I can be even CONSIDERED enrollment? If, let's say I do apply, would they focus on my high school stats? I want them to focus on my college stats. </p>
<p>I guess if I'm really desperate, I can make up the 12 unit difference at another cc. But the workload would be tremendous! Btw, I took 2 AP tests: Biology and Calculus and received a 5 and a 4 on it respectively, would that count towards my transferable units? And does the 5 in AP biology waive the requirement for a semester of biological sciences? </p>
