I have a 3.875 UC GPA and a 2160 on my SAT. I have a good set of ECs, and have just completed a summer internship this year. What UCs can I realistically be admitted into?
Merced, Riverside and Santa Cruz.
Intended major? All the UC’s except the schools listed above ^^^^ have average UC GPA’s of 4.0+. UCI/UCD and UCSB are possible depending upon your major, EC’s, essays and HS rigor. You have a competitive SAT but you might want to try the new SAT and see if you can bump up that score.
Look at the Freshman Profiles for each of these schools and see how they compare. UCM/UCR/UCSC would be good Target-Match schools. The other schools would be Slight Reach to Reach schools, but having a few Reach schools on your list cannot hurt.

If you are a California resident, also consider some of the top Cal States: Cal Poly SLO, Cal Poly Pomona, Cal State Long Beach and San Diego State for solid Match-Safety schools.
I’d like to go into CS or CE, so that won’t help my chances whatsoever. I will be applying to Cal Poly SLO early decision, but that is the only Cal State I plan on applying to at this time.
Cal Poly SLO is not offering Early Decision this year, only RD and for CS that is around a 10% acceptance rate. I think UCR/UCM and UCSC are definitely doable. For the rest of the UC’s, it will be a tough admit for CS or CE with your GPA but I think it is definitely worth an application. I would include SJSU (excellent and competitive CS program) and at least one other CSU to your list since unless you will be happy with those 3 UC’s.
SDSU and CPP are also worth a look.
I honestly think you would be waitlisted at UCI, UCD, and UCSB. UCM, UCSC, and UCR are your safeties.
