I'm aiming for getting deferred or waitlisted..I dont really expect getting accepted right away on Early Decision .. so DONT FREAK OUT PEOPLE! I just want to know how good my chances are. Thanks!

lol no one is gonna freak out and try to tear you down… at least on the rice forum

Tests: Your scores are fine, but if you think you can do better, it wouldn’t hurt

GPA: I’d say you’re showing a nice turn around senior year and that admissions will make note of it
just keep your grades up
btw, you might be deferred, but use it as an opportunity to show off you’re 1st semester grades during reg admissions

work on your essays, they count more than most ppl believe

good luck

i love your response, people on the Michigan forum ripped on me like no other ;(

ya that’s too bad

on a side note, I cant believe im still making the you’re/your mistake

Well, I doubt you will be the lowest GPA ever to apply. I’m sure they’ve seen worse. A 3.0 isn’t even that bad! Judging by the name of this thread I was expecting your GPA to be like 1.2 or something with a huge sob story about something horrible that happened to you and ruined your grades/chance at college. So, you’re better off than you think!
