is it possible to get in med school with a 3.0 gpa but with a good mcat score?

yes, very possible and there are many people who do

collegedopout, did you mispell your name?

what is the lowest gpa ever?

yeah i mispelled my name, could'nt change it

how cute....

lol jessy.

anyway, i dont think it's a good mentality to go to school and only aiming for what barely gets you by. just try your best, and not think about how low can you go.

"Lowest GPA ever" - You mean, to be accepted into med school? Or in absolute terms?

Because I'm sure there are more 0.0's out there than we'd like to think. I had a friend who failed out after he managed to pull an impressive 0.8.

But, as far as med school goes, I have no idea.

0.8 thats amazing... Friend of mine thinks she can not go to class, still do well, and stay in a nursing program (after nearly flunking out for doing the same thing last semester..too funny)

Anyway, I'm sure there are some pretty darn low GPAs that gained acceptance to med school, but like spikedsoymilk(yum?) said, don't dwell on the lowest you can have. Try for as high as you can :). 3.0 is a good start but try to raise it if possible and kick arse on those MCATs!!
