lowest GPA...

what is the lowest GPA you've seen someone transfer with and get admitted to a school like UCSB, UCI, UCD, SDSU, and CSULB for business?

my friend was recently admitted to UCSB with a 3.2gpa. He told me the counselor told him anything above 2.8 is a shoe in. He didnt even have his prereqs done!

Do those schools even have business?

well, UCSB and UCI have biz econ. SDSU and CSULB have biz admin. But do you think what my friend said is true?

I was denied at UCSB and UCD with a 3.7, so you never know

not that i think you should have gotten denied aztec, but you had different circumstances

i know, i love saying it, it gives me a little bit of closure. I was a different circumstance. But I love the fact that I saw UCSB Transfer Average for last year and don't quote me, but the Transfer for GPA for accepted applicants was low 3.0~3.2, when you beat the average by so much its hard to comprehend.

My buddy just got into UCSB with a 3.0, it can def. be done

when you say the average admit rate is 3.0~3.2, is that their GPA at the end of the spring prior to transfer? or the time they apply?

what was your situation aztec?

greatly appreciate the responses guys!

Transfer Applicant Statistics (Fall 2006 Entering Class)

Applicants: 8,174

Admitted: 5,754 (70.4%)

Enrolled: 1,449

* 3.17 mean GPA
* 95% California residents
* 2% residents of other states
* 3% foreign residents

I am a transfer from a 4year CSU(sdsu) and I had too few units to apply Fall 06(58 units) and too many units to apply Fall 07(113+), so UC sent me a letter declaring me ineligible, unless of course Haas accepted me because they have no unit limitations.

Have at least 3.0 w/ pre-req done then u will be good!

3.0 by the end of spring prior to transfer or when i apply?

tonyage- Have 3.0 by end of fall and by end of spring have at least 2.0..
