Lowest Math Score for Engineering

ur not gonna believe this but i got into cornell engineering with a 690 math on the sat one...im ecstatic to be going to cornell, but i feel a little inadequate especially as all cornell engineers have hugely high math scores! =</p>

dont worry about it, ur verbal score is prob higher than most of theirs lolllll

what about verbal and writing?

80 psat, 800 sat 1, 800 sat 2, 5 ap calc ab, 5 ap calc bc

i attribute all of it to playing extensive hours of math munchers all throughout grade school

p.s. - dont feel inadequate, you got into cornell engineering, i'd say being accepted into the best engineering program of all the ivies is an accomplishment

how about sat II math? (Ic / IIc?)

I have a 710....a 690 is nothing to be ashamed about.

The reason why you got into Cornell is because the admissions committee feels you have a talent or something that will make you do well at Cornell. Even Cornell has confidence in you, so you shouldn't feel inadequate, you will do great.

I got a 670 on the SAT 1

yayyyy i got a 790 - didn't get in !!! :)

I got an 800 and I got waitlisted. Just shows how little SATs matter, good luck at Cornell next year.

If you got in that means that Cornell felt that you had the potential to do well.

the best engineering program in the ivies?

i would seriously doubt that.

from what i hear, cornell definitely has the best engineering program in the ivies. in fact, cornell has one of the top engineering programs in the country.

which other ivy's engineering program is the 'best', whatiscollege?

^ To 'whatiscollege' You must be lacking something in the ivy knowledge department--Cornell ranks--and is reputed--above the other ivies in terms of engineering over and over. I see no reason for you to 'seriously doubt', unless your making the arrogant assumption that Cornell is in any way inferior as a whole to other ivies.

If you got into the engineering with a 690, don't feel inadequate, feel especially adequate--there must have been something pretty good about you for you to be accepted. My friend had an 800 in the math--he was rejected.

Cornell Engineering is #1 in all Ivies, I donno why you said it like that...

Where is Byerly when you need him? He always has such helpful information and statistics on these forums. Anyway, I found the following information he posted last fall on another board. He gathered these statistics from US News and World Reports.

Ivy Engineering Rank, Overall Engineering Rank, School. (State) Score

Served.

(10c's)

why does cornell engineering have an 38% admit rate?

seems like nobody wants to go to the best ivy engineering program

My guess is that Cornell Engineering just has the space.

OR only hardcore awesome 1337 people apply to cornell engineering? That's the impression I got when looking over tons of statistics.
