thank you nspeds..i think i am going to transfer too but i heard it was very hard to transfer.. ppl said that they want ppl from start to end...part of the whole "family" thingy but i dont know...pretty sure you will get in tho..your stats are really good..(i hear all sorts of things so yeah..some could be true but i dont know)

Actually, the transfer statistics are not too discouraging. And about my stats, they are not as good as what I have seen thus far viz. look at the Early Decision thread and you will know what I am talking about. However I am retaking the SAT on January 22nd and I do hope that things turn out for the better. Good luck!

yeah..good luck to ya!!!

i got in with a 1220.

Anyone who feels Rice is the school they would like to attend should apply. Like every school with an Early Decision plan, your odds are the best if you apply during that round. Take a chance on Rice and they may surprise you by taking a chance on you!

hey..i like that breeze...that was really nice. I wanted to apply ED but i had some problems with my counselor (and i was sick...couldnt make the deadline). she is not a nice lady..she doesnt help the students..she didnt even want to write a letter of recommendation for this girl and i know that girl..she works extremely hard and since she is not from this country her is not that great, so she has a tough time with some of her classes and the counselor was like "well, you cannot use that as an excuse" I dont know about using that as an excuse but i know that she cant really be compared to ppl who has english as their first language and ppl who were born in the u.s ..also my counselor is very discouraging...i mean VERY DISCOURAGING..gosh! to those of you who have really great counselors...thank them.
it is so hard to get your college stuff done with my counselor (some ppl even paid to have thier own counselor but I dont have money for that!)
