<p>i got one of those "congratulations" cards from Steinhardt. I was shocked (and extremely elated). lol</p>
<p>i only got a 1300/1600 on my SAT. 670 on both SAT Subject tests (literature and history)
3.9uw/4.3w GPA.
Average ECs that showed focus on music, a few leadership positions
Amazing recs and essay. I wrote about being biracial, which i think was a major hook for me.</p>
<p>Steinhardt isn't as competitive as CAS and Stern (as you can tell by my stats).</p>

<p>there's almost no point in looking at stats of people accepted in the other schools. it really depends on the school you applied to.</p>

<p>I got into Stern and I'm only in the second decile of my public school class; I was surprised. SATs were pretty good though (2200) but EC's were rather boring.</p>
<p>I know someone with an 1140 who got in... In all honesty, I don't think getting into NYU is as difficult as people make it seem.</p>
<p>I got into Steinhardt on Monday for Media, Culture, and Communication.</p>
<p>GPA: 94.00 uw
SAT: 2000 (610cr, 710m, 680w)
SAT II: 690, 650
ACT: 29 Composite
ECs: NHS President, Drama Club President, etc.</p>
<p>My resume was what really helped me I think.</p>

<p>I got 1850 or so on the SAT but I got a 32 on the ACT.</p>
<p>i got gsp'd with sat subject test scores of 690 spanish (which my mom speaks to me so i've known some all my life), 620 chemistry, and 570, yes 570, math level 2.</p>
<p>Check it: 530, 570, 590 on subject tests; 2 Cs and 5 Bs on transcript; only 1340/2080 on sat I; and to top it off, I'm white. I'm not sure as to how I received an invitation to the saturday reception. Significant weight must be placed on the essays for admission to Gallatin, fortunately.</p>
