Unfortunately, many at the other end are for-profits.

https://lendedu.com/student-loan-debt-by-school-by-state-2019/ has the list of schools mentioned there.
Lowest student loan debt:
3043 Appalachian Bible College*
3376 Alabama State University*
3909 University of the Incarnate Word*
5633 Bethel College*
6069 San Francisco State University*
*All of the above show large year over year drops from 2017-2018, so it is possible that the listed low debt levels reflect data entry errors.
Highest student loan debt:
(blank #1)
54067 Bryant University
52559 Dominican University of California
52243 Mansfield University of Pennsylvania
51200 The Culinary Institute of America
There is only one ‘for profit’ school on the list, and that’s CIA, which was founded as a trade school and is a school to teach cooking, not a traditional university. I think they have some AA degrees now in business management, which ties in with their main programs. A friend’s son attended and he’s now a chef. I don’t think they feel they were cheated or overcharged.
Many lists out there that provide different schools that make the “Highest student Debt” tab…here is just another one of many…btw, some say the majority of the students at the “highly ranted schools” already have an economic advantage, hence the lower debt.

It’s Time to Tell Your Kids It Doesn’t Matter Where They Go To College

CIA has their two year culinary arts program. Grads of that can add two more years that include the business side of the culinary business and get a bachelors degree.
We know several grads and they are doing very well!
Surprised that none of the CUNY schools (Baruch, Hunter, etc.) were on the lowest student debt list. Kiplinger’s put them on a list of colleges with lowest average graduating debt here:
