Loyola Chicago or University of Minnesota?

Hi, my name is Carolyn. I plan on majoring in Bio/Pre-med at one of these two colleges but I need some opinions/advice.

Side-note: I would much rather go to Loyola myself, but my mom is rather hesitant about spending that much more money. She did however talk to a financial planner and we can afford both schools with the money I have saved up.

I would rather not go to the U because of it's proximity to my house (about 30 minutes...if that). I also was accepted to the U college of agriculture & nutrition sciences (I applied under biological sciences) with a nutrition major which I am not super pleased about but it's very doable and transferring to CBS within the University is very possible. Pros of the U are that it is a pretty good school, very affordable, and it has 130+ majors to choose from if i decide I don't like bio. Cons are that it is MASSIVE, probably like a third of the people who go to college from my HS go there, and I am not accepted to the major that I would like to be (easily dealt with however).

Pros of Loyola are location (I LOVE Chicago), much smaller than the U, good stats for med school (70% of first time applicants to their first choice med school get in)..(the U probably has good stats but I talked to them and they JUST hired a statistician), far enough away from home where I don't have to come home every weekend and I can get used to being away. Cons are the cost, distance from home (could also be a con), and a relative lack of majors compared to the U, also I would have to make sure on finishing my undergrad in 4 years (I am not planning to take longer but you know--things happen) because that's when my scholarship expires.

Please help!!!!!
It's greatly appreciated.
