In Maine nothing in the mail today… Received merit from every school DD applied to including very similar schools…of course this is the one DD is thinking she would most like to attend.

In MA… heard yesterday… $18750 per year…

D heard today. We’re in FL.

D3 received a $12,500 Presidential Scholarship…also in FL…

Mail just came, nothing. I guess that means there isn’t one for me

On Long Island… D got $12,500 Claver Scholarship.

Did anyone get merit aid today? Wondering if there is still a chance something is coming.

S got letter last Thurs 2/17. We live in NY. S got $25,000 per year Merit Award.
We are very happy! He is still waiting to hear from other Schools RD. Guess we will know for sure in March when all decisions and financial packages come out.

Awarded $12,500 Presidential Scholarship last week.

Did anyone EA get their regular financial aid letters today? I have been waiting for it all week, as they said it would arrive by today. I didn’t receive anything! Did this happen to anyone else?

It says on the Loyola website (in the parents chat) that FA for EA are being mailed out today.

I was accepted EA (but in early february due to some application complications) but I am well qualified and I feel as if I should have gotten some merit $. I suppose my late acceptance had something to do with it considering we were supposed to hear by the 15th…
any thoughts/comments?
Thanks!

twistbeach2, my daughter is valedictorian of her high school class with a GPA of 4.41. She was accepted EA and received no merit aid. However, she did not apply to the honors program and I have a feeling that only those accepted into the honors program received merit aid.

anne62 - i know someone accepted into honors but rec’d no merit aid. i thought it was odd that her stats qualified her for honors but not merit. also, my daughter applied EA - not honors - and did received merit aid. so, i think the more we try to figure it out, the more we get confused!

My son did not apply to the honors program and was awarded a Presidential Scholarship.

alfmom, you’re right - I am more confused. This is very disheartening. My daughter really liked Loyola, but now after not receiving merit aid is disappointed in Loyola (she received good merit aid from two other similar schools). Too bad, as I thought Loyola would be a good fit for her.
