Loyola Maryland vs. Providence College

I was accepted to both Loyola Maryland and Providence College. After visiting both schools I think I would be happy at either- and now I am having a hard time deciding. Any advice? I am looking to go into Special Education.
I have a concern that there won't be much of a nightlife at Loyola MD... does anybody know if this is true?

I visited Providence today and LOVED it. I think I will be attending next year! I really liked Loyola as well, but I know people at both and overall, I have heard more positive things about PC as far as academia and the social life.

My sister had the same dilemma last year. She ultimately chose Loyola because she (a non-Catholic) felt that religion played to big of a role at Providence, unlike Loyola. In terms of nightlife, my sister says she either parties at JHU frats, does some activity on campus, or takes advantage of the Baltimore area. If you’re interested, she says that the local bars are pretty lax about the drinking age. Loyola also has the #1 lax team in the country at the moment, that’s pretty cool!

First congratulations. Second, I rate both these schools very much on par…yes, there are differences but essentially about the same. Providence is Dominican (the Friars who started the Inquisition! LOL) and Loyola is Jesuit (they had their own sins in South America and Asia. LOL). So there is some difference on that level.

Nightlife in Baltimore is very busy and lots of fun, plus pro sports galore. And Loyola is VERY active in basketball and lacrosse and soccer. And its close to DC for internships as well. I favor the Jesuits and I favor Loyola. I know someone who graduated there last year who loved it.
