Hey! Does anyone know if LMU gives good financial aid? I have an efc of 9700..how much can I expect to get?

Last year D had scholarship and grant aid, plus work study and Stafford loan. Total met full COA less our EFC. I think that is typical for high stat applicants. I know they don’t meet full need for everyone, but I saw somewhere they meet an average of 88%. You should be getting your offer soon. Good luck.

With LMU it depends…In general, they don’t give great aid.

if you don’t have a LOT of need, it seems like they do a better job meeting need…especially if you have high stats. The problem seems to be with low-income OOS kids who don’t get Cal Grant money and don’t have high stats…those kids seem to get the biggest gaps.

Look at their numbers…

Number who applied for need-based aid: 1,030
Number who were judged to have need: 760
Number who were offered aid: 750
Number who had full need met: 136
Average percent of need met: 67%
Average financial aid package: $24,069 (not much considering that the school costs $55k)
Average need-based loan: $4,623
**Average need-based scholarship or grant award: $18,469/B
Average non-need based aid: $8,116
Average indebtedness at graduation: $29,906

Darn! I hope I can afford it! I’ll find out April 1st if I can afford it. This is my last hope for going to college in LA!!!
