Loyola Marymount....GOOD NEWS !!

Dear Justin

Thank you for your interest in Loyola Marymount University!

If you are still thinking of transferring to LMU, we wanted you to know that
this may turn out to be a very good semester to apply for a transfer. We have
been given a one time approval to increase our incoming transfer class by 100
students. Instead of 150 new transfers, we'll be seeking 250 transfers for our
Fall, 2006 class.

Strong preparation and a good record will be necessary, of course, because
admission will still be competitive and selective. However, we expect to be
able to admit about 35-40% of transfer applicants for fall, instead of our more
typical 20-25%.

The Priority Date for fall transfer applications is June 1. You can find the
application at www.lmu.edu/admissions. Simply click "Apply Now." You can apply
on line, or download, print and fill out a paper application. Don't forget to
send transcripts from all colleges at which you've earned credit.

Feel free to call and speak to one of our Admission Counselors if you have any
questions. Our number is 310-338-2750. Individual admission counseling
appointments are also available.

Best wishes for continued success in your college career!

Matt Fissinger
Director of Admission

So I induce that you will apply? Well best of luck.

nice! LMU is a sweet school, 2 of my best friends go there and they LOVE it

I heard that LMU isn't even ranked as a national university by US News. Besides, they aren't that selective either! :)

No im not applying, but they are ranked as the #3 Masters University. I was on their mailing list from last year..but thought I would share the info with the board.

A good friend of mine goes there and absolutely loves it. She went to Hofstra University in NY for a year but she is from LA and wanted to go back home. Her only problem with LMU is their food.
