I am a senior trying to decide between UCSB and LMU. I will be majoring in film at either school. Based on my research LMU has a better film program in regards to production, internships, and networking, however I will have to take out about 5,000-7,000 per year in loans. In addition, I may not be able to double major and graduate in 4 years. I would be able to double major at UCSB because I will have more credits going into it. I am worried that UCSB’s film program will not have as much networking or opportunities for going into the film industry. I’m not quite sure what I actually want to work as specifically, just that I want to work in the film or TV industry. I am a bit concerned that LMU will not be worth the price.
