Loyola Marymount

who here knows anything of relevance about this college?

Lots of hot girls there.

i know everything about that school. I drive by it on my way to school a lot. It has terrible financial aid, the neighborhood and location is nice, the school is very small, the dorms are ugly and tiny, the gym is nice, the stadium is ugly, theology courses suck (as i am told by students), the guys are wannabe models and the girls are pretty conceited. The campus is pretty much closed on the weekends because most people go home and everyone else tries to go to USC for parties.

I wouldnt recommend it.

^^^Wow that's exactly what my friend told me! She just moved back home after 2 1/2 quarters there. She just felt too lonely and isolated on the weekends since a drive home for her would take 4 hours. I love the campus, but I don't think I could ever get over how small it is. Nonetheless, my parents still see it as a good school so I applied there as a transfer student for next fall.

I used to work at the Law School. Don't know much about the undergrad programs though.

i applied there..
but yeh i dont know much about it either haha

more replies please i need to make a decision soon

dont go.....

blackrepublican.. u applied to usc as well right? if i were u would wait till USC replies before doing anything..
cus I am sort of on the same boat as you

yah i applied but you know we have to Choose a school before we hear from USC......USC takes forever to mail their decisions

bumpity bump

Haha just a little bit of hatin' on LMU in this thread....Honestly, you need to decide for yourself. I've been there 4 or 5 times and love it. Just applied as a transfer for the Fall 08' semester. My girlfriend goes there and she absolutely loves it.

You know, anyone can label an entire class as "conceited" or "arrogant" but that really does no justice. You can't apply a term for an entire group of people. I've found the student body to be extremely inviting, and everyone has always been nice to me whenever I go on the campus. After two semesters, my girlfriend absolutely loves it, and I can see why. The parties are amazing, don't know when some of the above posters have visited but they must have gone on days when there was nothing. The party scene is great, with a party going on almost every single night on the weekends. The majority of student socials, however, are done on buses. Students take buses to clubs in L.A. and have a great time.

As for the financial aid, its perfectly fine, just the same as any other school. I spoke with the counselor and I'm actually going to have my needs fully met if I am accepted, and all the while she was extremely polite to me on the phone.

The school itself really isn't that small, it's actually classified in the Princeton Review as a "Medium" sized campus. The dorms are the same as any other dorms I've ever seen, better than most actually. Certainly better than the SDSU dorms and other state schools, (it's a private school).

Overall, I don't really think you should take other peoples words for it. You should just go there for yourself and take a tour. It's a beautiful campus.

But don't let me convince you.

Loyola Marymount University

LMU has the happiest students in the nation, according to a study recently published by the P.R. and has one of the most beautiful campuses.

thanks prez.....anymore reviews?
