<p>DS is a rising junior in the Honors Program at Loyola University Maryland. Pros and cons from a parent’s perspective:
Pros:

  • small class sizes - allows you to know your professors
  • great dorms and Fitness & Aquatic Center
  • lots of community service opportunities
  • many clubs & easy to join
  • great study abroad
  • easy campus to manuever
  • sports scene was a con but is greatly improving with the 2012 lacrosse national championship and 2012 NCAA basketball tournament appearance
    Cons:
  • some groups are formed early and can be “cliquey”
  • not as many “on campus” dining options as a large school
  • expensive, but good at meeting demonstated need and offers merit based scholarships</p>

<p>Overall, DS is enjoying his experience and looking forward to going abroad. Loyola is a great school and has a lot to offer. </p>
