Loyola, U Of Chicago, or DePaul Transfer.

First off, I know University of Chicago is a little more selective than the other two.

Anyway, can anyone tell me the ideal GPA for all 3 schools? Also, are they open to out-of-state students? (I live in Wisonsin)

They’re all private colleges, so your state of residence doesn’t matter.

Anyone know anything about the GPA?

Anyone know anything about GPA, or are interested in transferring? Any current students?

I got accepted as a transfer to both Depaul and Loyola Chicago for this fall. The GPA are both 2.0 for both with exceptions for specific colleges which are higher. Depends on what you want to go into. I will be transferring in from Michigan, so apply away.

I am going to be touring the campuses soon, but the impression I have gotten from researching online is that both Depaul and Loyola Chicago are a lot a like , but stand out with certain programs. I am leaning towards Depaul just because I like the history curriculum better than Loyola Chicago, so go and the websites and do your homework.

There’s a world of different between Loyola/Depaul…and UChicago. UChicago is a very highly selective school, especially when transfer students are concerned. Last year they had several thousand transfer applicants, and as I recall, bout 10 of them were accepted. It’s a hard school to transfer into. But, it’s one of the places that I’ll be applying to when I’m ready to transfer from my CC.

Loyola and Depaul are both fairly easy to get into as a transfer. But, the specific GPA requirements depend on the major you’re trying to transfer as.

Sorry for the late response, hopefully you (or someone) sees this.

What is your current CC stats? I’m at a public state school in Wisconsin right now. Also, does anyone know the current ranking of Loyola and DePaul? I’ve read Loyola isn’t that great anymore, and DePaul and its business program is better.
