So, I would like to know 2 things:

How generous is LUC in giving merit aid? I have a 96 uw gpa and 33 ACT (34 superscore) and wanted to know if I could be applicable for merit aid or if LUC isn't that generous with it.

Also, kinda random sidenote, does Loyola accept superscore for ACT and do I really have to send an official score report or can I just self-report scores?

What does their website say? Does it mention anything for students with your stats?

Merit is usually based on single-sittings…not super-scores

I doubt you can just self-report…you need to send scores.

How much merit do you need? In other words, how much will your family pay? If you got a $15k merit award, would your parents pay the other $35k-40k?

Most universities want to have official score reports and I suspect that Loyola University of Chicago is no diferent.

I would need at least 20 k in merit aid and I am checking out the merit aid thing but would appreciate it if anyone already knew the answer

And sorry, for the whole official score reporting thing, I meant if I could self-report AP scores? (dont know how I left AP part out lol)

Also, has anyone previously recived merit aid from LUC?

generally you will self-report AP scores on your application. However you will still be required to send them to the college.

Their scholarships are competitive and the max they give is $18k per year.

Have your parents said that they’ll pay $30k per year? if not, how much will they pay???

Well, does it matter? I thought merit aid was not financial aid based according to LUC website?

Thanks for all the answers but one more thing:

Has anyone here recieved the Ignatian scholarship for LUC? If so, what were your stats?

<<,
Well, does it matter? I thought merit aid was not financial aid based according to LUC website?
<<,

Of course it matters. Even tho LCU doesn’t look at need when awarding merit, their awards do not cover most of the costs. So, how will the rest get paid? If your parents won’t pay, you can’t go. YOU can only borrow $5500. That is not nearly enough.

If you want academic credit for AP scores you’ll need to send official reports.
