LS may be the death of me... help!!

Since I'm in LS, I'm concerned I won't have the time to accomplish all that I want to at NYU. Does anyone know the exact amount of courses/credits needed to graduate from LS and CAS together/LS and Steinhardt together? I know some of the MAP overlaps with LS (but I don't know which courses), and I'm not sure how Steinhardt's core functions at all. Could someone please fill me in on this, and possibly gauge whether ill I have the time/credits to...

Double Major: As of now, I'm considering majors in English, Journalism, and/or Media, Culture, and Communications.. although that's in Steinhardt. I guess it wouldn't be a problem to transfer there even though I was admitted to CAS, right...?

Minor (possibly double or even triple minor, if that's possible..?): definitely considering creative writing, business studies. maybe cinema studies, spanish, economics. and possibly English or mcc, depending on my major(s)

Spend a semester abroad.. probably Prague, London, Spain, or Japan

Intern.

Any info on whether this can be done in four years, advice on LS or NYU or the quality of any of the programs I'm interested in would be awesome =]

Talk to an academic advisor. They’re the ones who are going to be up-to-date on all the rules regarding which credits you need to have and where they should be coming from.

Thanks. Does anyone have any experience with/know anything about the quality of any of the programs, study abroad sites, etc. that I listed?

we don’t have a site in Japan. we have one in Shanghai, China. if you want to do Japan, it won’t be an NYU sponsored site.

talk to your academic adviser when you get here. i don’t think you’ll be able to double major AND triple minor AND study abroad AND intern. you’ll have to work it out with your adviser when you get here.

you have to spend one year in a school before you can transfer. what you can do is apply to Steinhardt MCC when your time in LSP is up, and THEN double major in CAS. i’m an MCC/CAS double major, media/politics.

NYU has an international student exchange with Nagoya University (NUPACE).

NYU should be able to accept points/credits from partner universities and have it applied to your degree progress.

an exchange site is different than a regular study abroad site.

Not much really of a difference except it is not NYU-owned / directly sponsored. However, everything else should be fine. The differences would not interfere with the degree progress.
The website indicates NYU credit will be given. The only real difference is you apply directly to the university rather than NYU with some forms filled at NYU.
Non-partner universities will be problematic for points/credits transfers.
