LSA -> CoE

I was wondering how hard it is to transfer from LSA to CoE

any requirements to fulfill before transfering?

Thanks

plus, is it much harder to earn CoE degree than LSA?

Is it worth it??

"I was wondering how hard it is to transfer from LSA to CoE?"

It isn't hard to transfer, but you have to prove that you can handle high level Math and Sciences. If you can mintain a 3.3 GPA taking science classes, you should be able to transfer without too much difficulty.

"Any requirements to fulfill before transfering?"

Yes, Calc I, II and III, Linear Algebra and Differential Equations, Computer Science and Physics.

"Plus, is it much harder to earn CoE degree than LSA?"

Engineering at most universities is generally more demanding and challenging that most majors, but it is not tougher than Physics or Mathematics.

"Is it worth it??"

I hope you can figure that out on your own. If you can't, Michigan isn't going to be kind to you!

Alexandre has the right idea, but here are the actual class/GPA requirements:

http://www.engin.umich.edu/admissions/undergraduate/transfer/internal/index.html

mninimum doesnt mean you definitely can get in

it just gives you the eligibility to apply

"The minimum GPA and prerequisite requirements are mandatory for engineering transfer admission but are subject to change and do not guarantee admission."

So to transfer into most COE majors, you need to have Calc I and II, computer programming, General Chemistry 130, Physics 140 (Mechanics), and an English class.

If you're in LSA and want to transfer, just fit these classes in on your schedule.

ENGIN 101
ENGLISH 125 (Easier than taking Engin 100)
MATH 115, 116
PHYSICS 140, 141
CHEM 130, 125/126

I'm a current LSA Honors student, and it looks like I will be transferring to Engineering in the Winter semester. When winter semester rolls around, I'll have all of that done, plus some more math and physics.

dsmo

what year are you?

may I ask your reason for transfering?
