Hey, I’m a freshman in the honors College. Before making my final decision to come to Michigan(Which was hard), I based it on the honors program. It is really upto you as to what you want to do to benefit from the honors program. Firstly, South Quad is unmatched with respect to its proximity to the classes and it’s peer group. You would find people who are similar to you and share similar interests. There are events planned for honors students and personally like I said it is up to you if you want to attend the events if you like. As far as advising goes, it depends on your advisor. People like Elanor Crown aren’t very good while the rest are supportive. I had a good first semester with 3.9 and simply enjoyed south quad and the honors program.
