SAT I 2380
Sat II's 800 740 730
3 AP tests, all 5's
U.M. unweighted GPA 3.7 (cause of personal issues sophmore year)
can i get into 1. LSA honors and 2. ross, and please estimate % chances of acceptions to these two

No need to create another thread.

your right--i'm just wanting answer

I would be surprised if you did not get into the Honors program. You could even get a nice merit scholraship. Ross is a shot in the dark as pre-admit, although your odds should be good once you are at Michigan.

i was admitted into lsa honors without an essay this year.
your Sat 1 is very strong and makes up for your low GPA.
I'd say you have a 95% chance on getting into umich as long as you have ECs and good essays/teacher recs and you apply early... like everything received by the end of september.
SAT 2 and AP scores are useless for admission purposes.

For honors...
i had a 33 Act = 2250 SAT
and a gpa of 3.9 umich
and got in without an essay.

You have a very good chance of getting into honors. just make sure you apply EARLY to umich and get accepted in October. Call and/or email the honors department and ask for the essay questions as soon as your accepted.
Write a very strong essay and turn it in ASAP.
if you do that you should have atleast a 65% of getting into honors.
Sit back and relax because honors admissions take a long time. i got in during march or april.

hope that helps.

thx a lot blackpen2008, hopefully i'll be seeing you in 13 months at lsa honors!!!

your welcome
let me know how your admission process goes

blackpen one question--why did you decide go to michigan and lsa honors over another school like Rice or Northwestern or even an Ivy etc?

its funny that you ask
lsa honors basically fell into my lap. i'm from michigan so to be honest michigan was the best school i applied. i didn't apply out of state because it would simply be too expensive and my family would mostly likely not qualify for any financial aid.
one day i came home checked the mail and there was an acceptance letter from the honors program.
I was accepted into umich during the end of october and received multiple email from the honors program to write the essay. I was planning on writing the essay but it was low priority for some reason. Luckily i got in without writing the essay at all.

Alexandre turned down what 4 ivys for michigan... he'll prolly end up answering your question shortly.

he already did, i was just looking for another perspective
