LSA students/parents -- how is it?

I just got an acceptance email from UMich LSA. I'm debating between a couple majors within the sciences but I'm certain that I want to do pre-med. I was wondering what advantages there are to going UMich for pre-med & sciences major than another place.

That’s a really vague question without listing specific other possible schools. UM is very good in the sciences/the premed track.

My daughter was thrilled to get her acceptance letter to LSA.
She had applied to residential college but didn’t hear anything yet about this.
I went on line to register for the campus visit and it seems like there is a checkbox for LSA or LSA residential.
When does she find out about residential college?
If she didn’t hear about this in acceptance letter does it suggest that she was not accepted into this?
Can I register for LSA and LSA residential for campus day or best to just chose LSA?
THANKS!

Moniquersvp, my D is a junior in the Residential College (RC), so I’m happy to help answer questions for you best as I can. Once a student is accepted to LSA, then the RC reviews the application. My daughter’s RC acceptance came about a week after the LSA one, but that was a few years ago. It wouldn’t hurt to call or email the RC office to confirm they have her application and find-out when decisions will be made this year. I would definitely register for the LSA RC campus day, so she can get a better feel for the program.

The RC is quite an excellent and unique program. Good luck!

Thanks, this is very helpful!
