Can someone please comment which is considered more difficult/prestigious? I know for most schools the engineering school is probably harder... but as with the case for Columbia, it is less prestigious than the college. I applied to engineering and was accepted (also applied preferred admit to Ross), but did I apply to the "easier" school to get in (or less prestigious)? I thought the engineering school was a tad more difficult to get in than the LSA due to more stringent math/sciences requirements. Someone help? Thanks!

B-t-w, do LSA and Engineering Preferred Admits stand the same chances for Ross?

Mich engineering is very prestigeous. Not as prestigeous as Ross, but way up there when you think of good engineering schools. It is easier to get into than LSA because fewer people apply, but the average applicants is much stronger (like with Fu vs. CC). I doubt that Ross looks at the school you were accepted to when you apply for preadmit, but I doubt LSA vs Engineering would make much of a difference.

anybody else know anything about this? i want to do engineering --> ross.

i think i remember hearing that double majoring with ross+engineering is crazy/impossible, is that true? otherwise, is it possible to take a minor across the two schools?

whoa, venkater, I hope you are right. I applied to engineering, and I bet the admissions people will think I was looking for an easy way in because my verbal and writing scores are higher than my math. Even though I really wanna do materials engineering so I can defect to Iran and help Mahmoud Ahmadinejad out with his bombs I mean so I can do research on some prosthetic limbs for disadvantaged people.

With the rate the FBI and NSA are monitoring crap... don't be surprised if you get a knock on the door tomorrow by a couple of men in black suits and killer shades.
