LSE or Imperial for Maths?

Have 2 offers.

LSE- Business Maths with Statistics
Imperial- Maths with Statistics for Finance

I've visited both universities and like them both equally, their courses both interest me as well.

I really want to move to the United States in the future for a job. Which of these universities is more well known and is more prestigious in both the states an worldwide?

Here is an anecdote. I know a British guy who graduated from LSE and was one of the hedgefund co-founder. But the guy who actually founded the hedgefund, i.e has the most percentage of equity, graduated from Imperial and is on the billionaire list. And they both have degrees from engineering.

thanks for the reply. Is LSE or Imperial more well known though?

It depends on your undergraduate major. I’ve heard of Imperial before I’ve heard of LSE. My professor graduated from Imperial.

For maths in the UK, there have this thing called, COWI, which stands for Cambridge, Oxford, Warwick and Imperial – the top 4 unis for maths.

But for US employment, I’d go for LSE.

@RML Thanks for the reply. Is that because LSE is more well known in the states?

^ Yes, that’s it, specially in Wall Street.
