LSP --> CAS Requirements Help

Alright so i'm a little confused. I called and spoke to an LSP Advisor on the phone yesterday but she had a thick accent so i couldnt understand her, not to mention she didn't really answer my questions...

So I plan to major in Journalism in CAS after LSP. I know we must take 2 science classes within the first 2 years in LSP. But CAS also requires a language.

Do we have to take the language within the 2 years in LSP, or can we take it sometime during our 4 years? And how much language do we have to take? one course.. or meet a certain standard?

Also, what do past LSP people reccomend.. get the science done rite away? or take a language? I plan on going to the Paris campus soph or jr year so i sorta wanted to take french this year.. but I think it's best to get the science done with.

Thank you!

You can take a language at any point, and you must complete through and including the intermediate level. If you want to finish the requirements in one year instead of two, take the intensive courses (which combine I and II), otherwise, you can hope that you will place into the intermediate I/II level or out of a language altogether.

You can also study French at the Paris campus, but I don’t think they offer the elementary levels.
