lsp descision??

I have a friend who said she recieved a letter in the mail a few days ago selecting her into LSP. not a likely letter, she was selected already to be in lsp.
I thought descisions weren't released for a least a month and actual likely letters don't start for a few weeks??

LSP is not a likely letter. NY doesn’t really sent “likelies”. LSP is an acceptance into NYU…to a student who is being admitted not to their school of choice (like CAS) - YET…but first into a broader liberal studies (2 year?) program.

Invitations to honors events seem to come out next (they’re not “likelies” either, but they’re the closest thing…if you get an invitation and call admissions they’ll tell you that, yes, you’re going to be admitted). I think around Mar 9-15 based on last year’s threads. Then all the other regular decisions (admit/deny) come out about April 1, as stated.

does this mean that all LSP descisions have just been released?
and if you didn’t get an lsp letter now you will either be accepted rejected waitlisted come April 1??

Based on what I’ve gained from furiously reading NYU’s website, they rarely admit students on a waiting list.

So I’ll say, come April 1st, it’ll be more of a acceptance/rejection letter.

I don’t know how the LSPs come out. I heard someone on another thread say they MIGHT trickle in slowly. But I have no clue.
