LSP mistake?

I got my acceptance letter from NYU on March 9th (although it was mailed out on the 4th) into NYU's Liberal Studies Program. I did not go online to accept and get the official package, so I called NYU last week about not getting my FA package yet, and they said they had no record of me being accepted. Then when I told them about LSP and gave them my Uni. ID, they said that I was accepted early and CAS may still accept me, but on the LSP letter they said CAS declined me, but I was accepted to LSP. Is there still a chance to get accepted to CAS or were they just basically making something up?

Just call back and ask to speak to an actual officer, not a Student Ambassador. Or have your parents call.

We can’t tell you anything for sure.

Arn’t office hours only until 5? So, I would have to wait until tomorrow?

Just try calling, the worst you’ll get is an answering machine.

If it doesn’t bother you, LSP students transfer to CAS after 2 years I believe. But in the meantime, their core classes are different from CAS’s. LSP students eventually pick a major from CAS (correct me if I’m wrong).
