LSP Question about credit......

I'll be entering the liberal studies program with credits from Ohio State University (which is on the quarter system). I'll have credit for Calculus 1, 2, and 3. My main question is will these credits count towards the science requirment in the liberal studies program?

Secondly, I will have credit for psychology 100, sociology 101, micro economics 200, political science 101, criminal justice 209, geography 200, and a 4 on my Chinese AP test. Does anyone know if any of these will fufill requirments at NYU?

I'm hoping to get out with a NYU degree in 3 years as it will save a lot of money. I tried contacting an advisor last week and didn't have much luck with it.... Any current NYU students with credit from other colleges that transfered?

Thanks

pleaseplease.

It appears that certain AP credits and college credits (up to 32 credits total) earned before entering NYU may be accepted for credit at NYU for LSP students. However, AP/ college credits cannot for the most part exempt LSP students from taking their core requirement courses in:

1) Writing I and II
2) Social Foundations I, II, and III
3) Cultural Foundations I, II or III

Calculus course credits are considered MATH credits, not science credits.

Here is a link for AP equivalencies for NYU CAS courses:

[NYU > CAS > Bulletin 2010 - 2012 > Admission](http://cas.nyu.edu/object/bulletin1012.ug.admission#APEQU)

This link is useful for working out what AP credits you have that can be transferred into NYU. Then you need to reach an advisor to talk about college credits taken before entering NYU and which ones of those will be accepted.

Sorry you spoke mostly about college credits, not AP credits. In that case, you probably need to provide syllabi, transcripts to your advisor at NYU to go over with you and determine which ones will be accepted by NYU.

Registration will during the summer orientation sessions. Just be prepared with your documents and speak to your advisor then if you cannot reach someone before (though I would keep trying).
