This is so sweet. As a mom with a D going to LSU all the way from CT it’s so nice to hear how warm welcoming and lovely everyone is there.
Best of luck to you and ur family as well.

@somemomma Thank you so much for being so supportive. Your comments lifted my spirits when I was feeling doubtful.
I’m so happy for your daughter and I know wherever she goes she will succeed with such a strong support system behind her.
I’m grateful to have found this forum and met such wonderful people.
As a father of a child who was strongly considering LSU but will be going elsewhere… the kindness you see here is what you will witness on LSUs campus. It is truly a special place.
Hopefully I hear back today!
Everyone today will get their decisions!

@Lacole03 @Khng20 I saw you asking about orientation and wanted to let you know my son qualified for SPIN- Spring Orientation (I heard it’s based on ACT) and they did it over the phone. An advisor picked his schedule based on his major, then my son went in and changed it to what he wanted, except for classes needing pre-recs. Then he setup an appt with his major college and they called and he explained he has AP credit for a class and they over-rode it since the APs hadn’t been in the system yet. That’s really all they did for the orientation. I think he has an option to go to a future orientation on campus if there is one. He received an email saying his schedule was setup and the email talked about how to schedule an appt. Schedules were put in MyLSU way before he got the email.
@2020Mommy
Hi! We did an get email saying as of 4/27 my D can register for online orientation and her adviser will pick her schedule remotely. We then have the option to change it/speak to advisor if needed.
I went into her LSU online and can’t decipher where we would even locate her schedule. I’m sure the advisor will point us in the right direction.
Def missing the fade to face approach!
I hope there are no hiccups with the Fall 2020 on campus start!
*face to face approach. (I shouldn’t be replying before caffeine). ?
Hi there -
My daughter is going to LSU from Washington State. I am a bit worried about colleges going online in the Fall. I really want her to have that Freshman experience in person and especially as an out of state student. Do you have any worries about that?
@stmalo
Yes…my family was just talking about this yesterday. We are from CT and really hope there are in person/campus classes by the fall. ?
To see her schedule, login to her MyLSU portal, then go to registration services then Personal Schedule. If you want to change it yourself, go to registration services, schedule request.
