Ok then, please clarify for those of not paying attention, if UA goes all the way what does that do to the schedule of start of Spring semester?

^^^
Shouldn’t change the start of spring semester.

After the 2009 season, Bama altered it’s schedule to accomodate BCS which will play January 9, 2012 at 8:30 p.m…a Monday night

School starts on Jan 11th…a Wednesday

That was a great decision. RTR!

A confident decision. :)

Bama caught a lot of flack for altering its schedule last time, so it was a wise decision. Many other schools start around the same time or later so they didn’t face the flack.

Ugh…just saw that I wrote “it’s” instead of “its”…ugh!

Who were the originators of this flavor? Faculty, parents, students, other schools???

Flack not flavor. Darn autocorrect.

the flack actually came mostly from outsiders…those who wanted to quickly dismiss Bama as a school that cares more about football than academics. When in reality, many other schools would have done the same if their schedules started earlier and they were bound for BCS.

The school “did the math” and realized that too many school officials, faculty, and students would be missing school if they didn’t change the schedule…especially since it was held in Calif that year.

Looking forward to the rematch. I think the Tide rolls in New Orleans.
