i applied 7 weeks ago and still have not heard anything. does anyone know when I might hear?
@carlygabriel025 my understanding is they are doing rolling admissions, and it seems like kids with high scores and GPAs are hearing within 4 weeks of applying. If you have confirmed in the portal your app is complete, and really want to know timeline, perhaps call the admissions office and inquire?
My daughter got an email notification and checked out the portal where she was admitted. So happy for her. . Now waiting for the merit aid. Good luck to everyone
Submitted the application Nov. 11 2020 and was admitted Nov. 13 2020, and I am sure that I will get the highest level of TOPS scholarship. My parents want me to apply for this one so it is the safe net for me. However, I really want to go to Boston, NYC or Philadelphia!
Hi Carly-we applied almost 7 weeks ago as well. Have you heard back?
i have not. my admissions counselor told me that i should submit my grades so that will delay my decision a little longer. good luck to you!
Are they recommending you send your grades for this semester? I just saw that they extended priority deadline till Feb 1st now. Good luck to you too!
Just got the acceptance letter at 6:34CST tonight. Good luck Carly.
Just got Accepted, although they didnât tell me for what major, and I canât find it anywhere on the portal
congrats!! thank you!
Good luck to all the applicants!
My D just completed her first semester of freshman year and going to LSU was the best decision! We live in CT and she has had the most amazing experience and just loves it!
I bet she loves to eat crawfish
Has anyone gotten a letter about merit scholarships? I am wondering the timing on that.
A couple of people I know have gotten emails about the Stamps Scholarship and The Presidential Scholarship today but weâre in state and idk if OOS applicants qualify for those
Have any OOS students heard or received anything about merit scholarships? Or anything about being a semifinalist for Stamps or faculty scholarship?
Nothing yetâŠwe were hoping to hear last week since thatâs when a lot of kids heard in 2019, according to last yearâs posts. I am wondering if itâs all delayed since applicants (those already accepted & those still waiting to hear) were given the chance to go test optional a few weeks ago. Maybe there wasnât enough time to evaluate everyone between 12/15 & the holidays??
Hello everyone
We are from Louisiana, LSU has not been my sonâs number one choice however he has a good shot at significant scholarship money. In fact he almost missed todayâs deadline for Stamps and presidential scholarships.
Does anyone know how many are selected for these. I know stamps various from school to school but canât find any numbers on the presidential.
Thanks
Based on lists of past winners, they award 10 Stamps and 10 Presidential Alumni Scholarships each year. From what I have read, last year around a thousand admitted students met the test score/gpa threshold for these scholarships. Not good odds.
@Caragaral
Thanks. Not good at all. Iâve looked to find stats of past winners but was unsuccessful. Curious how my son stacks up
Thanks again
Still nothing on merit. I may send an email and ask about the timing.
